Rebecca Minkoff - Resort 2014 Collection

Okay I apologise, it's been ages since I posted, but you know, exams call. Anyway, I'm a bit late on this, but none-the-less, the Rebecca Minkoff Resort 2014 collection. As usual, the brand has done it again, generally speaking in the past I was only really fan of their accessories such as purses, shades and jewellery pieces, I mean the fashion was great too, but it was always outshone by the accessories. But when it comes to this collection. Wow.

A large mix of prints were use, with the signature zippers all over the place. Trust me when I say no one does zippers like Rebecca Minkoff. There were the structured & classy pieces, as well as the unique, quirky street style pieces. An overall amazing collection, where most of the piece matched up to the again beautiful accessories.

Chanel - Fall 2013 Couture

This show was a classic, I loved so much from it, including the catwalk. Chanel continues to carry on it's legacy, whist implementing a few new styles into classics. Coco would be proud. Here are some of my favourite outfits and pieces and just little things from the show:

The details in the couture dresses are simply amazing!

I can't be the only one that loves this hair right?..

Mr. Karl Lagerfeld in all his glory..

 Adore these rings

 My heaven on the left.

Back stage beauty

With back stage beauty we saw strong eyebrows and blusher around the temple area for added effect. The rest of the makeup was relatively neutral. As for outfits, the typical Chanel tweed and tartan was used, along with the classic coco jackets. I was in love with majority of the collection, especially the couture dresses.

Outfit of the day

A simple outfit for a bad hair and/or minimalistic makeup day. That was basically me today. A simple and comfortable outfit, which looks like it took a long time to put together, when in reality, you're literally wearing a shirt and jeans. I basically sit in outfits like this on most days. Accessorise slightly, and you're good to go.

Balmain - Resort 2014 Collection

The Full Collection:

I really don't have that much to say about this collection. Jokes, I have heaps to say. This collection, in the most simple of words, is utterly stunning. So stunning, that I personally find this to be my most favourite collection out of all the Resort 2014 collections. I've always loved designs and collections from Balmain, but I really think that this particular collection is at a new, higher and even better standard.

This collection saw the use of both dark and light, both heavy and soft. Some of the main elements seen throughout include: quilted leather, structured pieces, houndstooth prints, denim, gold chains and accessories, skater skirts and the occasional, as i'd like to call it 'fluff ball.' I have no clue as to why I call it that, but hopefully you know what I mean.

Aside from the fact that each and one of these outfits are so very pretty overall, they also all contain so much intricate detail, which must have taken ages to put together ever so carefully. I think this collection shows great examples on how to style some of the greatest trends, although some of these trends are a bit old... It's also a prime example on how to layer PROPERLY. It's not actually easy to layer properly without looking like a hobo on the streets, but Balmain does this with ease and elegance.

My Favourite Looks:
Okay honestly, this wasn't easy, in fact it was super difficult. Asking me to choose my favourite outfits out of this amazing collection, is literally asking me to choose between water and food. But I guess I ended up choosing anyway. Please note that this is only my opinion, and honestly, this whole collection is just perfect.

Denim on denim - A hard look for most people to pull off. I don't know if it's the model, or if it's just the style of the clothing, but these outfits both look stunning. I think the various textures, patterns and structures allow for the layering to go on seamlessly. Also, would you look at the details on the belt on the left, and the chain details on the houndstooth jacket on the right. So very perfect. The high waisted A-line skirt on the right gives for a very flattering figure, showing off the thinnest part of the body, yet covering up the thigh and butt area.

Can I please have this jacket? - Such a perfect and wearable outfit. *sighs*

This outfit reminds me of those super high class office workers, I love how the quilted theme continues onto the bracelet/cuffs.

This dress, and the amount of detail, is absolutely amazing. Look at all of the different textures and patterns.

White on white with a splash of gold. Again it looks stunning. I can't really explain it, it just looks clean cut and too the point, when in reality, so much effort has gone into these pieces. I especially love the chain detail on the skirt on the right. And yes, I can please, please have the jacket on the left? Seriously.

Bravo Balmain, you've done a wonderful job. Now please, send me the whole collection ASAP... No?.. Alright, well either way, this is still an exceptional collection.
